Edgeview at Legends Park Opens in Medical District

May 12, 2025—Today is momentous as the 99-unit, 100% affordable senior housing facility celebrated its ribbon cutting. The 85,000 sq. ft. development in the Medical District consists of one—and two-bedroom units for individuals 62 and older.

The public-private partnership includes support from the City of Memphis, Pennrose, Memphis Housing Authority, Capstone Building Corp., Memphis HCD, Assisi Foundation of Memphis, Cadence Bank, Memphis Health, Educational and Housing Facilities Board, RBC Community Investments, Cedar Rapids Bank and Trust, Looney Ricks Kiss, EnSafe, Innova Services, and $6M from the CRA. Mayor Paul Young spoke of his support at the ceremony.

“Our commitment to affordable housing is very strong, it’s deep,” Mayor Young celebrated. “It’s something that we want to see more of in this community, and I confess we will see more, because we’re going to continue to identify quality developers to bring great projects to this community.”
