
Smokey City Market
Located close to I-40 on the key Jackson Avenue corridor, Smokey City Market will be a $70 million mixed-use development constructed by a joint effort between AEQUO Fund and The Works, Inc. The development will consist of nearly 200 housing units – both market-rate and affordable – first-floor retail and restaurant suites, and greenspace amenities. Community members identified the Smokey City Market area as a neighborhood anchor in the Uptown Community Plan, which called for more intense and dense development at this location. This project will bring much-needed new housing options to the Smokey City neighborhood, as well as quality retail and commercial uses.
