Mia’s Orchard
A dedication to Mia Madison and a testament to community partnership/collaboration, Mia’s Orchard is located in a residential cove at 1112 Palmetto Ave. It provides residents with five species of fresh fruit: apples, blueberries, blackberries, pears, and figs. In addition, it supports the ecosystem with native plants year-round. Mia’s Orchard leveraged partnerships between City Councilwoman Michalyn Easter-Thomas, CRA community builders, and Black Seeds Urban Farms to create a safe space for residents in Smokey City.
